Nathan has nine years of diverse clinical experience in exercise physiology, with expertise in pain science, mental health, fatigue, and cancer. He passionately shares his knowledge of technology within pain science and fatigue science at conferences and events.


Nathan holds undergraduate degrees in both psychology and exercise physiology, followed by a postgraduate Master's in Exercise Physiology. He is a very patient and empathetic health professional. He strongly believes in empowering clients through clinical guidance and acquiring the tools to continue independently.


Nathan loves being active in the outdoors. He enjoys outdoor group training, kicking a footy ball, and exercising with his wife, three kids and very energetic husky!

Dr Vicky Phillips, General Manager, presented as a finalist for the Practitioner Award, at the recent Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) Research to Practice 2024 Conference. This study provided retrospective analysis of a pain science program delivered by the wider EXPHYS team, to 1,275 people living with persistent pain. A wonderful collaboration between EXPHYS, Deakin University and AIA Australia. Exercise physiologist-led pain science coaching resulted in clinically meaningful pain reduction and functional improvements, return to work outcomes, and positive customer experience.
