Virtual-reality pain science positively impacts pain and function, return to work, customer experience and return on investment: a case study.
Virtual-reality pain science, delivered by an AEP within the pain mechanisms model, positively impacts pain and function, RTW, and customer experience, with demonstrated return-on-investment.

BETTER PAIN VR Case Study
This case study showcases the successful recovery of a 52-year-old male referred to EXPHYS on insurance claim. Following a motor vehicle accident and subsequent surgeries, the client presented with chronic pain and reduced function, leading to an inability to work. Through participation in the EXPHYS BETTER PAIN VR Program, encompassing immersive virtual reality pain science technology and coaching, the client demonstrated significant improvements in pain, functional ability, and overall mood, resulting in a full return to work.

Exercise physiologist-led pain science coaching via telehealth improved pain and function in life insurance claimants: a pragmatic cohort study
An exercise physiologist-led pain science coaching intervention in 1,275 clients resulted in clinically meaningful improvements in pain intensity and functional capacity, as well as significant improvements in work mindset, status and hours. Clients reported high satisfaction rates.

Fatigue science informing long covid recovery: a case study
Real time biometric data enables individualised fatigue coaching including behaviour change, wellness and planning/pacing strategies. This approach improved fatigue and restored function to perform daily activities and return to work.

BETTER ENERGY Case Study
This impressive case study highlights the successful recovery of a 42-year-old female referred to EXPHYS with persistent fatigue following covid infection. Through participation in the EXPHYS BETTER ENERGY Program, encompassing innovative technology combined with expert fatigue science coaching, the client decreased fatigue symptoms, and improved overall function, quality of life, and weekly working hours.

Cancer survivors improve return to work and health outcomes through exercise physiology delivered in-person and/or via telehealth.
Exercise physiology delivered in-person and/or via telehealth increased habitual physical activity levels and improved RTW, fatigue and mental health outcomes in cancer survivors on income protection claim. Life insurers have an opportunity to improve health and work outcomes for claimants with a cancer diagnosis by including access to exercise physiology.
