Introducing our second research piece for the Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA), Research to Practice 2024 Conference - Virtual-Reality Pain Science Positively Impacts Pain and Function, Return to Work, Customer Experience and Return on Investment: A Case Study. This research highlights how our BETTER PAIN VR Program, delivered by Chris Sinclair, Managing Director and Senior Exercise Physiologist, helped an individual recover from persistent pain. Chris will deliver an oral presentation of this exceptional case study, where health, life and work outcomes were achieved through immersive virtual reality pain science technology and coaching. “Virtual-reality pain science, delivered by an Accredited Exercise Physiologist within the pain mechanisms model, positively impacts pain and function, return to work, and customer experience, with demonstrated return-on-investment.”  This research will be published in the Journal of Clinical Exercise Physiology (JCEP). #RTP24 #EXPHYS #PainScience #BETTERPAIN #BETTERPAINVR

We are proud to share our first research piece accepted for the Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA), Research to Practice 2024 Conference - Fatigue Science Informing Long Covid Recovery: A Case Study. This research outlines how EXPHYS’ BETTER ENERGY Program, delivered by Adriana Giles, Clinical & Rehabilitation Lead and Senior Exercise Physiologist, helped an individual recover from persistent fatigue following covid infection. Adriana will present this impressive case study, where innovative technology combined with expert fatigue science coaching, achieved positive health, life and work results. “Real time biometric data enables individualised fatigue coaching including behaviour change, wellness and planning/pacing strategies. Exciting news! 🎉 EXPHYS are thrilled to share that we have three abstracts accepted for the Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA), Research to Practice 2024 Conference. This industry leading biennial conference will be held over three days, 2 – 4 May 2024, at the International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney). The conference brings together industry experts, academics and passionate professionals in the exercise and sports science industry, both domestic and international. We are excited to present EXPHYS’ research at this conference to our esteemed industry colleagues. Watch this space as we share more on each of our abstracts soon.

Say hello & get to know Nathan 👋 Nathan Hrvatin Exercise Physiologist Melbourne, VIC Nathan has nine years of diverse clinical experience in exercise physiology, with expertise in pain science, mental health, fatigue, and cancer. He passionately shares his knowledge of technology within pain science and fatigue science at conferences and events. Nathan holds undergraduate degrees in both psychology and exercise physiology, followed by a postgraduate Master's in Exercise Physiology. He is a very patient and empathetic health professional. He strongly believes in empowering clients through clinical guidance and acquiring the tools to continue independently. Nathan loves being active in the outdoors. She has a comprehensive health background having delivered health coaching and occupational health services, within both private practice and various public health environments. Rhea has extensive experience in pain management, exercise oncology, mental wellbeing and fatigue. Say hello & get to know Yip! Yip Wong Exercise Physiologist Sydney, NSW Yip holds six years of experience as an exercise physiologist, with a significant amount of this time working within insurance rehabilitation, across life insurance, work injuries, and motor accidents. He is highly skilled and experienced in areas of pain science, mental health, fatigue and cancer. Yip is passionate about sharing his expertise and interest in the use of technology within pain science and fatigue science with his clients, customers and at conferences and events. Prior to EXPHYS, Yip worked alongside a geriatrician helping individuals with cardiac and neurological conditions, and other co-morbidities. Yip is a wonderful communicator and highly personable, with proven success connecting with clients of all backgrounds. The EXPHYS team, based Nationally, travelled to attend regional events in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. We worked together to conquer escape rooms, engaged in friendly rivalry during ten pin bowling, and enjoyed delicious food with a view at each location.
