RUOK Day 2023

Today is R U OK day... and we're HERE to HEAR 💛

We understand the powerful connection between physical health and mental well-being. So, today, let's take a moment to check in with ourselves and those around us. 💛 Let's break the stigma surrounding mental health together and start a conversation, asking the important question: "RUOK?"

Here at EXPHYS, we offer a Mental Wellbeing Program that focuses on restoring mental function under the expert guidance of a mental health exercise physiologist. Unlock the natural medicine cabinet of the brain and harness the social benefits from exercise. Be supported by an exercise buddy, community, and wearable technology.

Dr Vicky Phillips, General Manager, presented as a finalist for the Practitioner Award, at the recent Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) Research to Practice 2024 Conference. This study provided retrospective analysis of a pain science program delivered by the wider EXPHYS team, to 1,275 people living with persistent pain. A wonderful collaboration between EXPHYS, Deakin University and AIA Australia. Exercise physiologist-led pain science coaching resulted in clinically meaningful pain reduction and functional improvements, return to work outcomes, and positive customer experience. This presentation is published in the Journal of Clinical Exercise Physiology (JCEP).
