The EXPHYS BETTER Pain and Function program demonstrates how an integrated recovery pathway can deliver positive customer outcomes alongside greater efficiency and sustainable value for the life insurance industry. The program achieved a 40% reduction in rehabilitation spend, simplified the referral and recovery process, and supported earlier return-to-work momentum through the integration of pain science coaching and functional upgrading. These outcomes reflect EXPHYS’ commitment to delivering evidence-based health solutions that create sustainable value for customers and the life insurance industry. Fire and Rescue NSW's (FRNSW) mission is to protect lives, property and the environment. At EXPHYS, we are proud to support those who dedicate their careers to protecting our communities. For the past nine years, EXPHYS has partnered with FRNSW and EML through our BETTER OnE Cancer Wellbeing Program, helping hundreds of firefighters and their families navigate the challenges associated with cancer recovery and management. This enduring partnership reflects the trust placed in EXPHYS to deliver evidence-based health support for those who need it most. Recently, members of the EXPHYS team attended the FRNSW and EML Education Day in Sydney, joining industry leaders and key stakeholders to explore critical topics including mental health, moral injury, recovery and community support. We thank FRNSW and EML for their ongoing collaboration and commitment to the health and wellbeing of FRNSW’s people. Together, we're helping create better outcomes for those who serve our communities every day.
