We're thrilled to announce our third study accepted for the Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA) Research to Practice 2024 Conference - Exercise physiologist-led pain science coaching via telehealth improved pain and function in life insurance claimants: a pragmatic cohort study. This research piece has been selected as a finalist for the Practitioner Award. Dr. Vicky Phillips, General Manager and Senior Exercise Physiologist, will be proudly presenting this research. Special acknowledgement goes to the EXPHYS team, Deakin University and AIA Australia. “An exercise physiologist-led pain science coaching intervention in 1,275 clients resulted in clinically meaningful improvements in pain intensity and functional capacity, as well as significant improvements in work mindset, status and hours. Introducing our second research piece for the Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA), Research to Practice 2024 Conference - Virtual-Reality Pain Science Positively Impacts Pain and Function, Return to Work, Customer Experience and Return on Investment: A Case Study. This research highlights how our BETTER PAIN VR Program, delivered by Chris Sinclair, Managing Director and Senior Exercise Physiologist, helped an individual recover from persistent pain. Chris will deliver an oral presentation of this exceptional case study, where health, life and work outcomes were achieved through immersive virtual reality pain science technology and coaching. “Virtual-reality pain science, delivered by an Accredited Exercise Physiologist within the pain mechanisms model, positively impacts pain and function, return to work, and customer experience, with demonstrated return-on-investment.”  This research will be published in the Journal of Clinical Exercise Physiology (JCEP). #RTP24 #EXPHYS #PainScience #BETTERPAIN #BETTERPAINVR

We are proud to share our first research piece accepted for the Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA), Research to Practice 2024 Conference - Fatigue Science Informing Long Covid Recovery: A Case Study. This research outlines how EXPHYS’ BETTER ENERGY Program, delivered by Adriana Giles, Clinical & Rehabilitation Lead and Senior Exercise Physiologist, helped an individual recover from persistent fatigue following covid infection. Adriana will present this impressive case study, where innovative technology combined with expert fatigue science coaching, achieved positive health, life and work results. “Real time biometric data enables individualised fatigue coaching including behaviour change, wellness and planning/pacing strategies.
